+ PROJECT ARCHITECT

We are seeking a talented new staff member to join our team and work in our modern, award-winning Christchurch studio in the role of Project Architect.

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years office experience and be skilled in ArchiCAD.

Key aspects of the role include;

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and statutory regulations

  • Competent in New Zealand construction detailing and documentation

  • The ability to maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.

  • Must be a team player with good communication skills and the ability to work with other team members.

  • Proven experience producing fully coordinated documentation on various project types, including residential and commercial projects, while maintaining the high standards of design and detailing that Sheppard & Rout Architects are renowned for.

  • Ability to take a project from Preliminary Design through Developed Design, Construction Documentation and Observation on site

  • The ability to manage time and workload in a busy studio environment to achieve deadlines.

  • Strong interest and ability in design and attention to detail

  • Must have New Zealand residency or a valid New Zealand work visa.

  • Salary is negotiable depending on skills and experience.

+ EXPERIENCED TECHNICIAN

Applicants must have a minimum of 5 years office experience and be skilled in ArchiCAD.

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the New Zealand Building Code and statutory regulations

  • Competent in New Zealand construction detailing and documentation

  • The ability to maintain relationships with clients, consultants and contractors.
