Ballantyne House, steeped in historical and educational significance, underwent a transformation to meet the evolving needs of Medbury School. Originally built for the Ballantyne family in the early 1900s and later integrated into the school's campus, the building had suffered from unsympathetic alterations over time. Tasked with restoring its heritage value while enhancing functionality, Sheppard & Rout Architects reconfigured the interior for administrative and residential use and restored the exterior to its former grandeur. This project not only preserves the building's rich history but also ensures its continued relevance in the Medbury School community, honoring its past while securing its future in education and heritage.
