A few years ago, our clients acquired a worn-out bungalow located on an oddly shaped corner plot. Having spent much of their married life in a rural residential environment, they were eager to downsize and transition to city living. Due to the property's positioning on a corner, local planning regulations mandated a setback of 4.5 meters along two boundaries, limiting the available space for construction to a narrow, elongated rectangle. This unique site configuration influenced the design of the building, resulting in a tapered structure that mirrors the shape of the plot. The roof, resembling a "tent," runs parallel to the southern and northern boundaries. The surrounding area is characterised by well-established residential properties adorned with mature vegetation.
